Watauga Lake is a gorgeous lake with long range views and unique topography located right beside the North Carolina and Tennessee border.
For this trip I brought my drone and went to multiple locations where I saw fall color potential to get different views. I was really impressed by the cypress trees in the lake, which were peaking in color. Usually most of the places I see cypress trees in the water is near the coast, and in North Carolina are more prevalent east of Raleigh (but can be found in some areas in the Piedmont).
Let the images and video tell the rest of the story!
