Its the start of a new year, and before plunging back into the woods with my camera, I have decided to take a look back at some of the best nature pictures I captured this year.
2014 was an exciting, beautiful and action packed year for me. I hiked hundreds of miles of trails, visited fifteen states, and witnessed many phenomenons of nature that have expanded my love for wildlife.
I have picked out some of my favorite photos to share, and some of the individual stories on how I captured these pictures can be found in my previous blogs. Many of these pictures took countless visits to the same place, learning the habits of the animal I was photographing and combining it with the best times for lighting and composition. And then a few of these pictures just came together randomly while I was out enjoying nature.
