Exploring NC

It was a weekend of different shows!  I love live music, and being a musician myself I check out local shows whenever I can.  The first show I went to was saturday night (6/22/12) and I went to see the band Collie Buddz.  They can be described as an upbeat reggae/rap group and they put on a great show!  He is a very popular artist and I was glad they let me bring in all of my equipment.
Big speakers and a lot of dancing room characterize the venue “Ziggy’s”, which is why it is one of my favorite places to see live music.  For this picture, I put my camera on a monopod above the audience and set the self timer.

The next night I went over to a Greensboro venue called “The Blind Tiger” for a birthday party and pizza jam.  The pizza jam is held every week and features some phenomenal artists, who occasionally switch off between songs.
The music was great, and I was provided a chance to practice shooting in such dark conditions without a flash.  I also wanted to try to use a lens push to get some cool effects while the drummer was playing.
